A Unique Perspective

Why watch the regatta from the sea

The Gulf of Naples becomes a natural arena: on one side the foiling AC40s, on the other the city skyline, Castel dell’Ovo, Posillipo and Vesuvius. From the spectator boat zones you can experience the speed, maneuvers and atmosphere of the America’s Cup in an immersive way.

The racing boats can exceed 40 knots. The actual course is chosen daily based on wind and may involve different fields off the waterfront, in the area between Castel dell’Ovo and Posillipo. That’s why the skipper follows official briefings and decides the most suitable route.

Rules and zones for spectator boats at America's Cup Naples 2026
Responsible Navigation

Rules for following the America’s Cup from the sea

The races cannot be followed freely by entering the course. Every spectator boat must be registered and respect assigned areas, perimeter buoys and all instructions from marshals, security forces and Port Authority.

  • Arrival in spectator zone recommended by 1:30 PM.
  • Absolute prohibition on entering inside course buoys.
  • Maximum speed 5 knots and “No Wave, No Wash” policy.
